Sweden is a true paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts. One of the most beautiful tours is the Kattegatt-route on Sweden's west coast from Helsingborg to Göteborg. The cycling tour takes you through pristine nature reserves, past lush farmland and rock formations.
Along the Kattegattleden on the west coast of Sweden
From Helsingborg to Göteborg, the Kattegattleden, which is a good 395 kilometres long, runs along the coast and through the hinterland of western Sweden. Sleepy villages with the typical red Swedish houses, metre-high sand dunes, endless fields, rugged archipelago coasts, kilometres of sandy beaches, dense forests and picturesque small towns - the Kattegattleden enchants with its varied landscape, which changes from area to area. There are only a few climbs to overcome - one of them is tough - the route is relatively flat. However, the wind can freshen up and you have to pedal a little harder. In the evening you can enjoy the culinary delights offered at the overnight accommodations, which offers something for all palates. Benefit from the freshly caught fish and seafood that you will find on almost all menus.
The route is, by the way, the first national cycling route in Sweden and the cycling route of 2018 in Europe.
