Itinerary
Arrival to Einsiedeln and luggage drop-off. The trail over Haggenegg leads through the beautiful high valley of Alp towards the two Mythen peaks. The stately Au Convent and panoramic views of the Glarner Alps and the valley basin of Schwyz and Brunnen are feasts for the eyes.
This section includes a boat trip from Brunnen to Treib, the ancient refuge harbour at the point where cantons Uri, Schwyz and Nidwalden meet. The chapels along the way and the Winkelried memorial in Stans are worth seeing.
Following the first ascent after Stans, impressive views open up to Stanser Boden, the Lake Lucerne and the Innerschweiz mountain peaks. Highpoint at the end of the section is the hermitage of Niklaus von Flüe and the Ranft chapels. In the end you reach the shores of Lake Sarnen with its emerald blue waters.
Flüeli affords outstanding views. The varied route follows the shores of Lake Sarnen and Lake Lungerer. From Lungern church you hike along the Brünigweg which, as a pilgrimage pfennig (coin) shows, was once a pilgrims’ path. Brünig offers a magnificent mountain panorama with the high Bernese Oberland summits and eternal snow. From Brünig by train down to Brienz.
The trail leads along sunny slopes above the Lake Brienz, allowing you to experience an exceptionally lovely landscape. After arriving in Interlaken, luggage retrieval and departure.
Tour character
The hiking tour leads on comfortable forest trails, only on the leg to Stans on the shores of Lake Lucerne you have to deal with smaller trails. For the long lengths you have to have very good stamina.

Arrival by train
Leave the car at home! For every bike, biking or hiking tour in Switzerland, you will receive an SBB coupon per participant, which you can use to deduct CHF 10.- from the ticket price for traveling by train. The reduction can be obtained in the SBB online store or in the SBB app.
On many trips, we use the luggage counters at the stations at the beginning and at the end to hand over the suitcases. You can conveniently combine this right away when you arrive by train. If you are a GA owner, you can provide this information when booking. We will credit you the amount on the invoice. If you don't need the coupon for the trip itself, you can use it during the year. Unfortunately, a retroactive refund is not possible for administrative reasons.
