A well-packed daypack is very important for a hiking tour. However, the most important things are those that you don’t even take with you, because even trained persons can only carry about 20-25% of their body weight over a longer period of time.

Your daypack should never weigh more than 12 kg.
You should pack the following in your daypack:
- Functional jacket and rain trousers
- Perhaps a pair of shorts
- You should pack the following in your daypack
- Fleece/insulating jacket
- Light-weight gloves
- Cap or headband
- Rain cover for the rucksack
- Sun hat/cap
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen lotion, lip balm
- First-aid kit
- Pocket knife
- ID, tickets for transfers if required
- Mobile phone (check the charge on the previous evening)
- Drinking bottle
- Tour book, documents for the day
- Hotel list (in case there are several accommodations at the stopover location)
